NEW YORK ACTION ALERT: NEED NY GOVERNOR KATHY HOCHUL TO SIGN ME/CFS BILL INTO LAW!

Dear New York Community- We need urgent action now to persuade New York Governor Kathy Hochul to sign our ME/CFS bill into law! Take action now!

Thanks to you and the #MEAction community, bill A7712B/S6928B, which provides for a myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) education and outreach program in New York, finally passed both the New York State Assembly and Senate. Last Wednesday, June 22nd, the bill was delivered to Governor Kathy Hochul, and she now has until midnight on July 4th to sign it.

Adding the mandate for an ME/CFS education and outreach program to the NY Public Health Law would be a huge win for people with ME/CFS, Long COVID, and other complex chronic diseases in New York State. But we must urge Governor Hochul to sign this bill ASAP!

TAKE ACTION NOW:

That is why we need your help! Please take a few minutes this week to email, call, and/or tweet NY State Governor Kathy Hochul and ask her to sign NY State Assembly Bill A7712B/S6928B into law.

It is critical that we get as many people as possible to take this action. This is why we also ask that if you have the spoons, please ask 5-10 of your friends and family to also contact Gov. Hochul.

Together, we can make sure that people with ME, Long COVID, and other complex chronic diseases as well as medical providers get the outreach and information they deserve and need. You can help realize that in New York by contacting Governor Hochul this week. Below are templates you can use in your email message, tweet, and phone call.
