We are writing this article to share some exciting news!

On Tuesday, September 26, ME advocates delivered copies of the book, The Puzzle Solver, by Tracie White with Ronald W. Davis, PhD, along with information about ME and Long Covid to Senators on the Hill. The books were donated by an individual living with severe ME/CFS in an effort to raise awareness and delivered by health allies. Advocates will return next session to deliver books to the remaining Senate offices.

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, also known as ME/CFS, is a disease characterized by profound fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, sleep abnormalities, autonomic manifestations, pain, and other symptoms that are made worse by exertion of any sort (physical, cognitive, emotional, orthostatic stressors). As many as 43 million Americans are living with Long Covid and nearly half meet the diagnostic criteria for ME

From the top of the book, a card extends with large text, begging Help M.E. Senator. Advocates from the #MEAction Maryland State Chapter included educational information about ME/CFS and Long Covid, and a call for help.

Please join us in advocating for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Long Covid & associated conditions.

Please note, we are people with ME and Long Covid and will likely experience PEM from this exertion. We will provide updates as we are able.

Share our social media graphics and make sure to tag us, forward this email, boost our posts on facebookinstagram, and twitter.

Share your story using #HelpMESenator hashtag.

If you contact your Senators, please fill out this form to help us track our advocacy! All questions are optional. Please fill out as your energy permits.

With your help, we can build a better future for the millions missing with ME and Long Covid.

Signed,
