We are excited to share about a collaboration between MEAction and the Library of Congress!

#MEAction is working with The Library of Congress’ National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) to educate 95 state and local libraries about ME/CFS and Long COVID. NLS will create a hand-out that explains how our community can access these services for free, with no wait time.

Many of us with ME have lost our ability to read books like we used to before - whether we can no longer hold a book physically or we cannot cognitively handle the task. Audiobooks provide an important alternative for many of us.

GET ACCESS: #MEAction will host an event in December with The Library of Congress’ NLS to answer all of your questions about applying for services on Dec. 2nd at 2pm ET.

The application process involves completing a quick application and submitting a certification of eligibility, but Sarah Sutton from The National Library Service will help you understand ways to make this streamlined.

The Library of Congress is the largest library in the world and the de facto national library of the US. Its services are available to US citizens at home or abroad.

We are thrilled to have this support from the Library of Congress for our community!
