Florence Nightingale campaigned for 30 years from her bed after contracting an ME like illness in the Crimea. On her birthday, May 12th, in her bicentennial year, we are collaborating with the Florence Nightingale Museum to highlight links between disabled campaigners across the centuries. In this video, David Green, Director of the Florence Nightingale Museum, talks about her campaigning work and their plans to commemorate her achievements. Your messages have been incorporated on quilts which will be displayed by the museum, alongside 200 other objects, places and people celebrating her achievements.
