#MEAction NY community meeting

It has been a while since we’ve gathered, which is an opportunity to think in new and different ways about how we want to strengthen a network of New York activists that cares for and empowers ourselves and each other, and that fights effectively for ME and Long COVID health equity.
We will:~ update you on 2023 #MEAction NY chapter activity;
~ tell you about ways you can get involved in #MEAction work if you have the spoons and desire;
~ and split into breakout groups to get to know each other more and dream and scheme about the coming year.
Some questions to consider:
What would you like to see New York advocacy accomplish?
How would you like to stay connected to and/or get involved in this community?
Come for a little, or come for the whole hour+. Talk or listen, lie down and wear your sunglasses if needed, bring a holiday drink if you’d like. Optional *afterparty* for anyone who wants to stay and chat after 3:10p.
Accessibility practices will include:
- Bluejeans chat will be monitored for written comments & participation
- Visual descriptions of speakers
- Optional video participation
- Pauses between topics
- We aim to pre-assign notetakers for each breakout group
- 10-minute brain & bio break after breakout groups
- Whole-group portions of the meeting will be recorded with closed captioning and emailed afterwards
- Written meeting summary & notes will be emailed afterwards
