Capitol building under cloudy skies with text: "Telehealth Update, November 2025" in bold. Moody atmosphere.

Good news: Congress has extended Telehealth until January 31,2026 as part of a deal to end the government shutdown.

This is not a permanent solution. So, we must continue to put pressure on Congress to make telehealth for Medicare permanent. Join #MEAction in putting pressure on Congress to make Telehealth for Medicare permanent!

Call your Member now using our call script, and tell Congress to stop messing around with your healthcare!

For people with ME and Long COVID, Telehealth is crucial but even accessing an appointment before Jan. 31 is difficult. As one person from the community shared with us: she immediately logged on to make an appointment with her cardiologist when Telehealth returned only to see appointments are full until February!

“The new law also will allow the government to reimburse doctors and other service providers who saw Medicare patients during the shutdown starting Oct. 1 after the enhanced telehealth services provisions had technically expired,” reported AARP.

You can read more information about telehealth extensions here: https://www.aarp.org/medicare/telehealth-coverage-deadline-2025/

Keep calling, keep putting pressure. Telehealth is a bi-partisan issue that can be made permanent with the right persistent communication with our elected officials.
