#MEAction is excited to partner with the Writers Guild Initiative (WGI) again to offer a virtual creative writing workshop series for people living with ME or Long COVID. These workshops are designed to give participants space to explore their creativity, strengthen their writing skills, and discover new ways to tell their stories. Whether you write poetry, memoir, journal entries, or simply have a story you've been wanting to tell, you are welcome!

What to Expect

Participants will work in small groups of 4–6 people with two WGI writing mentors for three two-hour virtual sessions. Sessions will include writing exercises, discussion, and opportunities to explore storytelling in a supportive and confidential environment.

All writing created during the workshops belongs to the participant who wrote it, and sessions will not be recorded. Breaks will also be incorporated during each session.

Workshop Dates

  • September 19, 2026 | 11 AM–1 PM ET

  • September 26, 2026 | 11 AM–1 PM ET

  • October 3, 2026 | 11 AM–1 PM ET

  • Optional Sharing Space: October 10, 2026 | 11 AM–1 PM ET

Participants are encouraged to attend all three workshops, but as always, your health comes first. Additional access needs will be collected from selected participants, and WGI will work to provide accommodations whenever possible.

Apply by September 8

There are only 30 spaces available, so we encourage you to apply early.

Those selected for the program will be contacted by email on September 11.

This opportunity is specifically for people living with ME or Long COVID and is not currently open to caregivers.

If you aren't selected this time, you can also join #MEAction's Narrative Working Group to stay connected with our ongoing writing and storytelling community. Hope to see you here at WGI Workshop!
