ABOUT

The #MEAction Pennsylvania chapter focuses on advocacy, education, and policy while offering a supportive community for people living with ME and their caregivers. 

​

As a state chapter we aim to bring awareness of the needs of people living with ME/CFS, Long Covid, and other infection-associated chronic illnesses (IACI) to health providers, medical institutions, legislators, policy makers, and the broader community. 

​

Through advocacy and direct action we work to ensure people living with ME/CFS and related illnesses receive quality medical care and social support.

​

We invite all people living with ME/CFS and related illnesses, caregivers, family members, and allies to help us amplify our needs and work to make Pennsylvania a state that provides quality treatment and care for us all.

OUR WINS

Members of our state chapter have individually and collectively participated in numerous actions and advocacy efforts from our beds and couches to on-the-ground. 

Our work has included annual organizing and attending of #MillionsMissing demonstrations, Advocacy Day in Washington DC, Protests at the White House, and many other demonstrations and actions locally and nationally.  We have worked behind the scenes to write grants, participate in panel discussions, offer public comments to governmental organizations many volunteer contributions to Long Covid grassroots organizations. Several of us have participated in media campaigns such as an article by Jenni Spotilla for the Philadelphia Inquirer, local news papers across Pennsylvania, and an upcoming feature about living with Long Covid and ME/CFS in a national news story!

Advocacy Meetings – #MEAction Pennsylvania holds monthly advocacy meetings the first Friday of every month from 1:00am-2:00pm EST.
