#MEAction launched a national campaign to educate clinicians about ME/CFS in May 2024.
​
#MEAction teams hosted 20 medical education events throughout the spring, summer and fall to encourage medical providers to take the Mayo Clinic Proceedings Continuing Medical Education (CME) course on ME/CFS. We also presented medical education flashcards on ME/CFS, Long COVID, and other infection-associated chronic illnesses to medical schools.

CAMPAIGN WINS, thus far:

100,000 views of the Mayo Clinic Proceedings paper with 1000s of new views during the campaign!

402 clinicians attended in-person events.

421 clinicians took the Mayo CME or another CME as part of the initiative!

Researchers and clinicians from five major institutions expressed interest in ongoing med ed partnerships at Mayo Clinic, Georgetown, Emory, Brown, and University of Montreal.

How our community shows up on social media during #MillionsMissing campaigns never cease to amaze us!​ Our community shared powerful stories of the years it took to be diagnosed, which combined to create impactful videos. Our social reached almost 300,000 users and had nearly 500,000 impressions during the campaign!
