ABOUT
#MEAction North Carolina focuses on support and advocacy for people with ME/CFS and Long Covid. Our purpose is to grow a North Carolina coalition of people with ME/CFS and healthy allies to organize actions, develop outreach, and form a community. We welcome members and volunteers throughout NC and neighboring states with a wide variety of lived experience, interests, concerns, and talents to share. We endeavor to help each other cope as we work to get help for all of the #MillionsMissing.
OUR WINS
October 2024: Created a wallet card for North Carolinians with ME/CFS to carry to prove their right to wear a mask in public to protect their health. It is available at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eg7JSXKmrkQUTvAjgPaIRHSRVaj28G9_/view?usp=sharing
April 2024: Our members worked with Dr. John Baratta of the UNC Long Covid Recovery Clinic to organize a Teach ME, Treat ME event - UNC Family Medicine Grand Rounds on ME/CFS and Long Covid. Over 75 clinicians attended to learn the keys to diagnosing and treating these diseases from MEActions scientific director, Jaime Seltzer.
