ADA 30th Anniversary–Stories Wanted

The 30th of the anniversary of the American Disability Act (ADA) is fast approaching–July 26th. As a way to celebrate this momentous occasion, we are looking to share stories of how the ADA has positively impacted the lives of people with ME.We want to honor those who fought hard to make sure we have the ADA with our celebration and thanks.

Let’s pause a moment in our fight for improvement to acknowledge how far we have come because of the disability rights activists who led the way! Then we can follow their example and continue to fight for the rights of all people with disabilities!

This is where you come in. If there is a moment that you were thankful for the ADA or a time where the ADA made a difference in your life, we would like to hear from you.

The ADA prohibited discrimination in the following areas:
* Employment
* Transportation
* Public accommodations
* Communications
* Access to state and local government programs and services

These stories will be featured around July 26th to build excitement and awareness of the anniversary. We will share the stories through social, email and featured on the website.

If you are interested in sharing your story, please fill out this form.

Thank you!
