Norway: Attend #MillionsMissing Shoe Exhibition, Performance, and Virtual Protest Tomorrow!

#MillionsMissingBergen is a virtual demonstration to highlight the thousands of Norwegians sick and missing from society, and millions all over the globe.

The #MillionsMissing protest in Norway has grown!  Protesters will be displaying shoes from 2pm-4pm in central Bergen (Festplassen), after which the shoes will be moved to be an art installation at Gallery 3,14.

If you have ME, you can participate in the demonstration by sending a pair of your shoes, and filling out the form at this link.
If you have family, a neighbor, or a friend with ME, you can help make him or her more visible by sending a greeting on SMS, by mail, or using social media such as Facebook, and by offering to help send his or her shoes to the protest.
The exhibition of shoes and survey responses will be displayed in conjunction with the performance Please Body Follow, a dance performance by Kristine Nilsen Oma.
Kristine Nilsen Oma is best known for her performance in Far, Far Away, a dramatic dance and narrative.  “By using the highly personal, I want to arouse understanding and empathy in the viewer,” Oma said.  Her performances seem to pull her audience into her frame of mind in a way that is both jarring and fascinating.

The protest will be livestreamed, and the performance will be filmed as well.  Even if you cannot attend, remember to use the #MillionsMissing on Facebook and Twitter, and to tweet and re-tweet about the protest!
Oma will perform Please Body Follow on Friday, 10 June, and Sunday 12 June at 6pm.  Book your tickets by sending an email to [email protected]m.
