#MEAction is a global, grassroots network for people with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome based in Los Angeles, co-founded by Jennifer Brea, director of the Sundance award-winning documentary Unrest. We are currently seeking someone experienced with finance to join our Board of Directors.
The Board consults the organization’s Executive Director in all areas including operations, communications, finances and development. We are specifically interested in candidates who have experience in finance and would be interested in volunteering as the board’s treasurer.
Candidates should have experience volunteering for a nonprofit organization and a passion for #MEAction’s mission to advocate for ME health equality. Candidates must also be comfortable reviewing budgets, pro forma financials and relevant accounting methods. The Board of Directors meets monthly virtually and once a year in person. Board meetings are traditionally held on the 2nd Monday of every month (subject to change).
Being on our board requires a minimum 1 year commitment.
Please email Executive Director, Jen Brea with a resume and letter of interest at email@example.com. Use the subject line: “Board of Directors: Treasurer.”
